Taarkashi - The Delicate Pulled Thread Embroidery

Taarkashi is a form of embroidery based on removing threads from a fabric's own weave to create delicate motifs. Given the intricacy of creating these fine, lace-like masterpieces, we train our home-based workers in the art of loosening out a fabric’s threads as a first step. Since this is a tricky process in itself, the artisans are only then instructed in the implementation of taarkashi motif work. We incorporate taarkashi motifs in our eastern wear collections as well as classic kurtas and duppatas. Traditionally presented in white threadwork, set against a solid colour; our signature white-on-white taarkashi collection is hard to miss.
