World Population – Day Awareness Seminar
Behbud Association of Pakistan, RWP organized a sensitization seminar on Population Growth in Pakistan on 13th July 2023 in Behbud Head office.
Doctors and Health department staff of the Behbud Association of Pakistan fully participated in this seminar. This seminar was presided over by the District Population Welfare Officer Rawalpindi Ms. Shireen Sukhan.
Mr. Shahid Rana, director of the Rawalpindi Social Welfare Department, also briefed the audience about the lack of resources and its impacts due to population growth in Pakistan.
Apart from this, Senior Gynecologists, Students from CUST University, and local residents also participated in this seminar.
Free Medical Camp in Rehmatabad, Rawalpindi
A free medical camp was conducted in Rematabad on 14 July 2023 Friday. Camp was arranged in collaboration with the Green Star TB Program, Agha Khan Health Services, PIRS Teams & and Ripha International University. Over 300 Patients were visited in this camp. Dr.Raza District Health Officer of TB Program of Punjab visited the Medical camp.
World Population Day, On 17th July 2023
A seminar was organized by the Population Welfare Department at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which District Population Welfare Officer Rawalpindi Shireen Sukhan, Director Social Welfare Rawalpindi Rana Shahid, Representatives of the Health, Education Department, and NGO’s. were attended. A shield was also presented on this occasion to the Behbud Association of Pakistan in the regard of Partnership with the Population Welfare dept, Rawalpindi the last several years.
